Take Five
This is the CD cover for Mark's 2010 CD
project.  Recorded with drummer, Greg Marsh.
Three images were layered to create the final cover:
Mark's guitar, Greg's snare, and a modified detail
from Dave Brubeck's original Time Out album, on
which the song "Take Five" was first released.

Japanese Painting Restoration by Mark Olson

This original, left, shows fading and acid burn from acids in its own paper
or from acidic matting.  There seems to be a hint of blue in the original bird,
so I went with that.  Using Adobe Photoshop, I brought some life and
color back to one of my favorite family heirlooms.
